There are several ways to clean a
Dell laptop and it depends which component you want to
clean. For the
LCD panel, you will want to use a non-abrasive cloth. There are cleaning
solutions that you can find at your local store that are
specifically designed to clean LCD panels. The plastics like the
palmrest, bezel or bottom base can easily be cleaned with a
multi-purpose cleaner or pre-moistened cleaning wipes. If your keyboard is
dirty we would recommend you use an anti-bacterial cleaner
because the keys accumulate dirt and molecules from our hands.
If you have
debris trapped underneath the keys, you will need to use a
bottle of condensed air.
By blowing in and around the keyboard’s keys you can
effectively remove all trapped debris from within.
If your laptop has been subjected to a liquid spill and
you have the “sticky key” effect it would be much easier to
simply replace the keyboard instead of cleaning it. It all really just
depends on how much damage was incurred. Another component that
you would need to keep clean is the cooling fan. Over time It will
accumulate dust and this debris must be removed in order for
the fan to operate at an optimal performance. Keeping your Dell
laptop clean is only half the battle, being careful not to
drop it, liquid spill damage, or exposure to extreme heat are
maintenance factors that must also be taken into
consideration. A
clean dell laptop is a happy
laptop! | |
