won’t turn on:

the issue. If you are in the same situation and owns a Dell
laptop, these tips would help you find ways on how to fix a
dell laptop that won't turn on. For some of the steps
you might need help if you are not too comfortable
disassembling the components.
1. The first thing to check
is whether it is receiving power or not. Check all the LED
indicators on the laptop as well as on the power
adapter/brick. It none of them are lit, there is no power
coming through the cord to the laptop. Try in multiple power
outlets. If it’s the same, check with another power cord if
available.
2. If some the LED indicators
are lit but do not give you any beeps as Dell computers have
assigned diagnostic beep codes for components incase there are
any issues. Remove and reconnect the battery and unplug all
external devices especially USB devices like printers, flash
drive etc and try restarting.
3. If there are beeps when
you turn it on, chances are one of the components like RAM,
drives etc might not be connected properly or may have failed.
Eg: beep code 1-3-1-2-4-4 will indicate RAM related issue. Try
reseating the RAM located at the base of the laptop. Some Dell
laptops have one at the base and one beneath the keyboard.
Same goes for the Hard drive which is usually on the right
side of the laptop.
4. Another instant is when
you can hear the sound but can’t see anything, check with an
external monitor to rule out screen issue.
5. If suspecting Operating
system issue, when starting the computer, keep hitting F2 key
to go to BIOS setup. If you are there, you might need to
reinstall the operating system or test the hard
drive.
This are some guides on how to fix
a Dell laptop that won’t turn on however its not a guarantee
